The City of Pell City Revenue Department is the forearm in the enforcement of tax and licensing laws for the City. Licenses and taxes are collected and accounted for daily. Technical advancements have made it possible for applications to be downloaded for new businesses or tax accounts. Tax forms are also available online.
Revenues that come into the City support all services offered. Certain grants are administered through the revenue office allowing interaction between the City and the Grantor agencies at all levels of government.

Tax Payments
Tax payments are due by the 20th of each month following the last day of the month that taxes were collected. Penalties and interest are accrued beginning on the 21st day of the month that taxes are due.
Business Licenses
City of Pell City business licenses expire on December 31st of each year. Each year, the City of Pell City will mail the renewal notice for businesses beginning in December; however, a license does not expire until December 31st. If a business license is not renewed by January 30th, penalties and interests are assessed beginning February 1st.
